What are the rules for posting on the Straight Shooters Airgun Forum?
Straight Shooters sponsors a discussion group for the many people who enjoy shooting and collecting airguns. We provide this forum for shooters to ask questions, share their experiences and help others. We, in return, expect a high level of responsibility from everyone posting on the forum. We believe that a group working for the same goal will adopt a code of conduct for everyone to follow. We have only a few hard and fast rules for this forum and they are pretty common sense rules.
1) Treat other posters with respect. We all have different viewpoints on some issues and it is necessary to exercise patience and civility at times. We believe this group will moderate itself by requiring a high level of integrity from posters.
2) Please remember that our chat forum is part of our business and is not just an open forum. We do not allow advertising of competitors web sites or email addresses.
3) No swearing, foul language or off color jokes or stories are allowed on the forum.
Outside of these 3 rules, feel free to discuss any airgun or airgun accessory.

When we opened the discussion group we wanted a place where airgunners, new and experienced, could come and have a good time. We view posting as much the same as talking to your neighbor over the backyard fence. We believed in treating everyone with the same respect we would like to be shown. Thus setting down a code of conduct we would like to pass on to our younger readers. This is the spirit in which the discussion group is run.

Our original concept of the forum holds as true now as it did then....
Our chat room is open for posting. Enjoy yourself, Ask any question because someone else probably has the same question. Don't be modest! share your knowledge with others by answering a question. This group is moderated by Straight Shooters. We feel this should be a place where everyone can learn and share experiences without fear of looking stupid or being called an idiot. To this end we reserve the right to delete any posts we feel are inappropriate to the good of the whole group...

We have certainly discovered what a close community the airgunning industry is. We are continually thankful for the depth and breadth of knowledge our readers possess and their willingness to share it with others. We have at times had to exercise our responsibility by helping the group stay on airgunning topics or in urging posters to treati others with the degree of respect they deserve. Please be respectful of others. Many a lively discussion has happened on the forum.

Differences of opinion are always welcomed but just remember we are here for fun not fights. We have pretty much adopted a zero tolerance stance on disrespectful posters, hate mail and items not deemed acceptable for our younger readers. Please remember that sarcasm is easily misinterpreted on the internet and be considerate of how others may interpret your post.

This forum is closely linked to the Straight Shooters web site. Occasionally we will use the forum to post about new tests we have run, new products we are offering and specials we are running. This is one of the methods we use to keep our readers updated on special happenings. At the top of the forum page is a link into the Straight Shooters Precision Airgun web site. We hope you will visit our site, shop around and fill your wish list.

We do not believe the forum is a place to air grievances with us or any vendor. This situation is almost always better handled off line via an
e-mail or phone call where a resolution to the problem can be worked out to a satisfactory conclusion

We discourage commercial advertising for or from other businesses. The determination of what constitutes commercial advertising is again why this group is so successful. We believe most people know the difference between walking into McDonald's wearing a Burger King shirt vs sitting in their lobby wearing a billboard and using a bullhorn. Please remember that this is our business site and do not advertise for competitive dealers.
We have found new products to carry and made new alliances by following the links others have posted here. Share your knowledge and finds if they are items not sold by Straight Shooters or not part of a competitors website. Again, respect the fact that this forum is part of our business.
