FX Wildcat Syntetic Tactical Stock

8-Shot Rotary Magazine
Tactical Look

The Wildcat is the first all new rifle to come out of the new, state of the art factory in Mariastad Sweden. The Wildcat represents many hours of complex design and systems testing. The end result has exceeded expectations for a compact, high power, and high accuracy performer.

Features include a precise air regulator and new magazine system that is easy to load and inexpensive to purchase spares. The Wildcat valve system is powered by the new high grade aluminum air cylinder that sports a durable new tactical finish. Many hours of labor have gone into this new finger print resistant finish.

The cocking lever has been engineered to be the smoothest operating possible with only the highest quality materials used. Forward placement of the lever provides the quickest and most simple actuation. The joy of cocking and firing this new air rifle is only surpassed by the results found on the target.

Utilizing the match winning Smooth Twist barrel, 0.5 inch groups at 50 yards are common. The action is nestled into a durable synthetic stock with soft touch coating for all weather comfort. This new stock comes to point quickly and with the new scope rail design places the shooters eye in a comfortable and proper position to eliminate parallax error. The Wildcat represents a new era in quality and design for FX. This compact powerhouse will excite the Bullpup and Tactical customer as well as perform as a full length gun for the more traditional shooter.

The Wildcat is another fine addition to the FX line of rifles..  It does not have the traditional rifle shape but nevertheless it is comfortable to hold and shoot. It is a good choice for the shooters who prefer a shorter  length rifle.

The first thing a shooter will notice is that the Wildcat looks very similar to the FX Bobcat. And we've already had calls from shooters asking what the differences are between the Bobcat MkII and the new Wildcat.  And there are a few differences that separate it from the Bobcat MkII although the power and performance are almost identical.  I'll list them here so it will be easy to see the differences and similarities.
DIFFERENCES:
1) The Wildcat's cocking lever is placed farther forward making for a little more natural arm motion when cocking. One quickly discovers that it isn't necessary to remove one's head from the stock to cock either rifle. A shooter can keep his head in the shooting position and quickly and easily cock the rifle for the next shot.
2) The Wildcat does not have slots in the butte for storing extra magazines as the Bobcat does.
3) The Wildcat has an air gauge in the front of the air tube but does not have the dual gauges on the butte that the Bobcat has which show air pressure in the gun's tank and the regulator as well. However both guns are regulated.
4) The Wildcat is a bit shorter and has a smaller body than the Bobcat.
5) The Wildcat magazine is a standard wheel with no outer covering. The Wildcat will be quicker and easier to reload by simply pushing pellets into the magazine holes. Conversely, the Bobcat magazine loads differently than the Wildcat and other rotary type magazines. Shooters that may have had other rifles with rotary magazines will quickly notice that unlike other rotary magazines, on the Bobcat the first pellet is loaded from the backside of the magazine by inserting the pellet skirt first rather than head first. That "locks" the magazine and the magazine outer cover is then turned around and the rest of the pellets are loaded head first in the traditional way from the front side.  It sounds a bit strange but actually works quite well.
6) The Wildcat is a fixed power rifle. The Bobcat has a power wheel for changing the power settings basically from low to medium to high power.
SIMILARITIES:
1) Both guns are very quiet for the power level.
2) The power level is almost the same in both rifles give or take 1 fpe or so. Look over our results and you'll quickly see that both air rifles have more than enough power for any hunting situation in .22 or .25 caliber.
3) Both rifles have a similar and comfortable feel to shoot when in the shooting position.
4) For pest control and hunting, shooters will have to take both air rifles very seriously because they will both certainly get the job done very efficiently. We were pleasantly impressed with the Wildcat and the Bobcat overall. Both are guns for the hunters without a doubt. While you can certainly plink and target shoot with either rifle, they are designed primarily as hunters and it certainly will perform that task well.

Bottom line is that both guns are similar in power and performance. However, the Wildcat would be the choice for shooters that want the power and performance without paying for the additional bells and whistles of the Bobcat. Conversely, the Bobcat would be the choice for the shooters that want the extra bells and whistles that the Bobcat offers. It's nice to have both options to choose from.

Let me say this is my 1st. FX but will not be the last. I've had nothing but a positive experience with this product, from the dealer to the manufactore. I had a problem with the pellet indexing and got nothing but HELP from all involved till the problem was repaired. The gun is accurate, fast handling and a dream shooting game or targets, drived tacks....

Advantages: 1. Accurate
2. Repeater
3. Light
4. Fast to shoulder, and easy to get on target
5. Is somewhat ambi.( I'm left handed)

Disadvantages: 1. Needs a bipod rail
2. A left handed model would be GREAT
3. A .30cal. model would also be nice

The .25 Wildcat is my 3rd FX and far and away the best. The others are really great rifles, still have the .25 Gladiator. The Wildcat is an absolute laser, Thumb nail sized 5 shot groups of Kings at 50 yards is not a problem for this handy little pup. Love the simplicity of the new clip, compared to the plastic ones of the other FX's. With it's higher shot count it has taken over truck duty from my .25 XL Daystate. Thanks for a great rifle and the good service.
