Velocity Test Results
Interpreting the score

This is a very well built and innovative as well. The power is adjustable, the barrel shrouded and we weren't at all surprised to find that it shoots with the excellent accuracy we have come to expect from an Air Arms rifle. As you can see from the numbers, the rifle peaked at 14 fpe using Kodiak pellets while most pellets shot in the 13 fpe range. The velocity and power range make it an excellent pest control gun to 50 yards. And as quiet as it is, it works extremely well for the backyard shooter as well as the backpacker or camper. When super magnum power isn't needed, a shooter can't do any better than the TDR rifle. We were pleased with the overall build quality and looks of this gun as well as with its performance. It's a definite keeper.

Remove the rear stock and add the pistol converter to convert your rifle to a 13fpe pistol.

Special Note: You may notice that only domed/round-headed pellets were used in our velocity tests for PCP air guns. While conducting velocity tests on PCP's we noticed guns with magazines tend to load easier with the domed/round-headed pellets than any other style. Digging a little deeper we also discovered many manufactures recommend round headed pellets for their PCP's because they are easier (less wear and tear) on breech o-rings and magazine o-rings.

Because of this we only test the domed/round-headed pellets and will only recommend those pellets as well.

We rated this rifle a "4" in hunting because it is a medium powered rifle and for larger animals we prefer a bit more power.
