Interpreting the score

What we can say from shooting the Crusader is that the gun is amazingly smooth and accurate. The cocking effort was medium high but not particularly difficult for a super-magnum rifle. The weight was just about perfect for a 21 fpe rifle, neither too heavy nor too light.

What impressed us most with this rifle in any caliber was how well it shot groups with so many pellets. Most rifles powerful rifles do not shoot light pellets very well. In fact, they tend to overpower the pellets and yield less than desirable groups. The Crusader, however, shot all pellets in a respectable manner. That is very unusual even at close distances. What that means is that the gun model is an unusually good shooter. We were truly impressed with its shooting mannerisms and accuracy.

If you are a fan of gas rams because of their smooth shooting nature, then you will be very impressed with the Crusader. It is powerful, accurate, well balanced and accurate. We had a lot of fun testing this gun because it truly is a pleasure to shoot. We consider it well worth the price.

We rated it a "3" in the Target Shooting category because of the gun's high power. Generally speaking, target guns tend to be medium powered rifles which are easier for most shooters to control.
