The Eliminator and Crow Magnum web page on this site explains that these are gas ram sporting guns of the highest quality. Read those paragraphs for background information on this gun. On this page, however, we point out where the Eliminator and Crow Magnum fit in the world of adult airguns.
The Theoben Eliminator/Crow Magnum, in any caliber, is a pure pest control and hunting gun. It is not the type of gun a person uses for an afternoon of general plinking. The cocking effort is definitely manageable and should not scare anyone off from buying the gun, but it is not in the "light and easy" plinking gun category.
It is also not best suited to be used as a target gun due to it's higher calibers and power levels. It starts to stand out from the crowd when used for pest control and hunting. Few pests in the small game world have much chance of surviving a run-in with an Eliminator/Crow Magnum and this high powered air rifle makes short work of garden pests. Due to its immense power, it is capable of taking small game consistently out to 50 yards and beyond. The Eliminator/Crow Magnum is in a class all its own. Few other spring guns can even come close to the power of the Eliminator/Crow Magnum.
The Crow Magnum sports a walnut ambidexterious stock while the Eliminator is a righ handed stock walnut stock. Both have a great fit and finish.
