This is one fun gun to shoot. At 12-13 fpe, the Evolution is a medium powered air rifle with a gentle shooting motion and excellent accuracy. It is quite easy to cock even though it's a carbine length rifle with a length of 39".
As is the case with all gas rams, the gun is smooth to shoot and very accurate. At just over 7 lbs., the weight was just right for a gun of its size and power level. The balance was good and overall it was easy to shoot and will require little or no break-in period.
The overall result is that with most pellets it is a medium powered rifle in the 12 fpe range. It topped out shooting Beeman FTS pellets at 13 fpe. Note the 50 yard fpe results and you'll find that it has adequate power for squirrel or pest hunting to 50 yards. That is totally in keeping with other medium powered rifles. And with it's accuracy the target shooters are going to love this rifle.
We have noticed that more and more shooters are buying medium powered air rifles. Most already have a high powered spring or PCP airgun. And many have discovered the pleasure of shooting a medium powered rifle with less noise and cocking effort. And the medium powered rifles have more than enough power to do their target shooting or pest control duties. Add this little gem to the top of the list of medium powered air rifles. It?s one of the best you can buy at any price.
