If we had to come up with one word to describe the RX-2, that word would be "versatile". Why? Well, a quick glance will show that the RX-2 is available in three calibers. The three calibers offer you a wide range of power and velocity options. Whether you are involved in target shooting or hunting there is a proper fit for you.
As most airgunners know, there is always a lot of interest in velocity. So much so, that many airgunners send their airguns off for powertunes and after-market mods to increase the power. For the velocity minded shooters, look no farther than the RX-2. In .177 the RX-2 literally goes supersonic with lighter pellets. Check the grids for velocities in excess of 1080 fps. One has to choose heavier pellets just to keep the velocity down to more sedate 900+ fps.
No tunes are needed with an RX-2. It's all here in one package....the smoothness of a gas ram and the incredible velocity right out of the box. In .20 the RX-2 offers a bit less velocity but more of the knockdown power needed for serious pest control. And the .22 is well suited for any small game hunting trip. Of all the guns we sell, the RX-2 is without a doubt, one of our favorite airguns.
The RX-2 offers a smooth gas spring with no twang and tremendous power. Few airguns on the market can touch the RX-2 in any category. Wait until you check out the performance figures on this gun.
If you are a hunter, take a serious look at this rifle. The gas ram in the RX-2 make it an ideal for hunting. You can cock this gun and leave it cocked without fear of damage. In addition, this airgun is one of the few available today with a resettable safety. The RX-2 will allow you to reset your safety if you are unable to take your shot. This feature alone is a big plus to those who walk the woods.
Note: We hear comments all the time from RX-2 owners asking why it only rates a rating of only 3 in plinking. Well, three of the main criteria for plinking are light weight, easy to cock and fun for the whole family. Well folks as you would expect from a magnum airgun of this power, it has quite a heavy stock to dampen the recoil. It is also too difficult for younger kids to cock and they will not find it to be as much fun for casual shooting as smaller, lighter guns. That does not mean the gun is not a good plinker or target shooting. But this gun was designed for hunting and pest control which it does very well. Don't confuse this gun with a family picnic gun. This gun packs a punch. and is a howitzer.
