Interpreting the score
The S200 is a medium powered PCP in .177 caliber and the velocity tests show that clearly. However, the .22 version has very decent power and falls in the 17-18 fpe range. It's an amazingly accurate gun to shoot and will certainly impress anyone who buys one for target shooting. And at 17-18 fpe, the .22 is more than adequate for pest control or hunting. There is a movement among PCP shooters toward the medium powered rifles. In many cases, the shooters already have a high powered rifle and are looking for something with a bit less noise where super high power isn't needed. This gun certainly fits perfectly for that situation. Don't overlook this rifle.
Please remember when reviewing this rifle that it was not designed to be a PCP super howitzer. It was made for target shooting, plinking and pest control with high accuracy. It is at its best out to roughly 35 yards in .177, 45 yards in .22 and is absolutely deadly at those distances. All in all, this is an impressive rifle for the price and would be hard to beat without spending a lot more money. If you're looking for the R7 equivalent in the PCP world, this rifle may be the answer.
