Interpreting the score

The Talon with the 24" barrel showcases the versatility of the rifle and gets the prize as being the most unique PCP (pre-charged pneumatic) we've ever tested. It is a very ultra modern looking rifle that uses the air tank as a stock and has accessory rails all over the place.

We found the Talon to be quite a fun gun to shoot and the performance is something to note as well. With the 24" barrel the Talon shoots up to the 45 fpe range depending on the pellet used. That is very high power as you'll see in the velocity results. We also found it to be quite accurate with most of the heavier pellets although like all rifles, it has its favorite pellets and some that don't group very well also.

It is a single shot rifle with two different ways to increase or decrease the power settings. That can give a shooter maximum flexibility for every shooting situation.
One hint about this rifle though. It definitely needs a high mount rather than a medium mount. The air tank being in the configuration that it is, you'll find your head scrunched down uncomfortably if you use a medium high mount. Our suggestion would be the Beeman 5039 (adjustable) or the BSquare AA adjustable mount.

You'll find this to be a fine gun to shoot with the proper mounts and scope. We think it's a winner and quite quiet as well in shrouded configuration, which is the SS version. You'll find yourself drawn to this gun over and over again for many shooting sessions.
