Air Arms TX200 .22 Beech

High Power, Underlever, Spring Rifle

Solid, Well Built
Field Target Accuracy

Over the years, the TX200 MkIII has proven itself to be a favorite among competitive shooters and sportsmen. And now that popularity trend is gaining even greater momentum. Whether you are looking for power, accuracy, or excellent fit and finish, the TX200 MkIII will stand out from the crowd.

An airgunner will be equally at home using the TX200 MkIII for competing in a local field target match or just shooting for enjoyment. One look at the TX200 MkIII is all it takes to convince you of the quality built into this air rifle. The distinctive look of the stock and the richness of the woodwork is obvious at a glance. The bluing is deep and flawless. Put these features together and it adds up to a top quality underlever airgun. And in addition to the excellent fit and finish, the TX200 Mk III sports a crisp two-stage trigger with a very predictable release point and an automatic safety that is activated by simply cocking the gun.

After reading about all of the standard features of the TX200 MkIII, it seems perfectly reasonable to discover that the power level matches the same high standards. Chronograph tests of the .177 calibers TX200 MkIII prove that it is possible to achieve high velocity without sacrificing accuracy. Straight Shooter's testing produced an average muzzle velocity of 933 feet per second in .177 caliber using Crosman Premiere 7.9 grain pellets. Additional chronograph tests using the heavier Crosman Premiere 10.5 grain pellets averaged a muzzle velocity of a whopping 830 feet per second. And unbelievably, the results above were done with little noise and only moderate recoil.

For .22 caliber fans, the results were also impressive. Testing with 14.3 grain Crosman Premiere pellets yielded velocities in excess of 725 feet per second. That's more than enough power for handling the heavier .22 caliber pellet. And, of course, the TX200 Mk III retained the accuracy for which it has become so well known.

What does all this add up to for the average airgunner? Have you ever purchased something and then wondered whether you made the right buying decision? Well, it means there is no more need to second-guess whether one made the right choice. · Quality · Power · Performance That says it all!

Beeman R1 .22 Beech

High Power, Breakbarrel, Spring Rifle

The "Elegant Workhorse"
Hard Hitting, Flat Shooting!

The R1 has long been known as "the workhorse" of the Beeman line and is universally recognized for bringing adult airgunning to the forefront with it's high power and stunning looks.

From the ground up, the R1 was built to be an airgun that a shooter could use and cherish for a lifetime. The Beeman "R" Series trigger, universally recognized as one of the finest available on a sporting gun, has a crisp, delightful feel that is fully adjustable. The solid body tube has deep dovetail grooves machined into the sides for maximum accuracy and stability. The safety automatically engages each time the rifle is cocked and has a convenient thumb release as well as a red indicator showing that the rifle is ready to fire. The elegant hardwood stock has a long forearm that adds grace and increased functionality for those who prefer to grasp the rifle farther out.

As an example of the workmanship of the rifle, examine the end cap of the receiver. Notice how the cap has been machined from a solid block of steel and carefully designed so that it mates flush with the body tube when screwed onto the back of the rifle. If this much care goes into one component, imagine how much thought and care has gone into the rest of the rifle!

The R1 was one of the first airguns to break the mystical 1000 fps mark. Other manufacturers may claim that their products meet or exceed that mark, but a chronograph often shows otherwise! Beeman has chosen to rate the R1 conservatively at 950 fps in .177 caliber but to truly harness the power we recommend the .20 caliber. The larger caliber gives a shooter better energy, greater mass and frontal area than the .177 caliber. The large swept air volume of the R1 makes it particularly well suited to the heavier calibers. The rifle is available in .177, .20, .and 22 calibers.

The R1 Standard comes equipped with a muzzlebrake. Iron sights are not available on the R1 Standard model. If iron sights are needed, see the Beeman HW80 instead. A scope and mounts are optional but are easily added. Just choose any scope from our medium or high recoil list of scopes select a mount and you'll be ready to go.

Beeman RX2 .22 Laminate

High Power, Breakbarrel, Gas Ram Rifle

Gas Ram Technology
Powerful Hunting Rifle

The Beeman RX-2 uses a "gas spring" for its powerplant. What is a "gas spring" you ask? Imagine an air-filled shock absorber in place of a conventional metal mainspring, and you have the insides of the RX-2 in your mind.

The RX-2 is cocked like any other barrel cocking airgun, but the single cocking stroke compresses a cylinder of air instead of a steel mainspring. When the trigger is pulled, the compressed air expands and drives the piston forward. Unlike a pneumatic or CO2 airgun, the sealed air is never expended. And unlike a steel mainspring, a "gas spring" cannot "take a set" or tire with age.

Due to the extremely short lock time (the time it takes a pellet to exit the barrel from when the trigger was pulled), this air rifle can have a pronounced jolt during firing. The short lock time, however, aids in field accuracy because there is less time for the shooter to "pull" off the target.
The classy laminated stock features the famous long forearm for grace and functionality. The trigger is crisp and predictable as you would expect and is set at approximately 2 lbs. of pull, ideal for hunting purposes. The automatic safety is located at the front of the cast metal trigger guard and may be disengaged and then reset as needed.. All in all, a RX-2 is a "must-have" air rifle for the connoisseur.

The RX-2 Standard comes equipped with a muzzlebrake. Iron sights are not available on this model. If iron sights are needed, look at the Beeman HW90 which comes with iron sights.

Beeman RX2 Elite .22 Laminate w/scope

High Power, Breakbarrel, Gas Ram Rifle

Gas Ram Technology
Powerful Hunting Rifle

The Beeman RX-2 uses a "gas spring" for its power plant.

The RX-2 Elite comes equipped with a muzzlebrake, mounts and a pre-mounted 4-12x40 scope .

Cometa Fenix 400 Air Rifle .22

High Power, Breakbarrel, Spring Rifle

As a result of Cometa's extensive experience in manufacturing airguns and the constant effort to innovate their products, they are able to offer high quality airguns to the discriminating shooter.

All components of the Cometa airguns are manufactured in Spain. The main parts of the airguns - the barrel, stock and tube - are manufactured and controlled by Cometa itself. All the airguns are individually tested to insure quality control.

Cometa has stated that the success of an air rifle is dependant upon the quality of the barrel. For this reason, they rigorously control the whole process of manufacturing, from the selection of the raw materials to the final finishing. Cometa's barrels are precisely drilled and later cold hammered in machines especially made for this process. The hammered process guarantees a mirror finish inside the guns and contributes hardness to the material. Finally, all the guns are meticulously straightened using precision tools. This superb, quality-control process, characterized by the production of its barrels from start to finish make Cometa airguns stand out as a high quality brand.

The Fenix is equipped with a high precision cold hammered for maximum accuracy. And don't overlook the two stage adjustable trigger. The highly adjustable two stage trigger is easily set for your optimum feel. And finally, the hardwood stock is comfortable and nicely finished making the Cometa Fenix a great shooter and great choice for an all-around air rifle.

Ruger Yukon .22 Combo

Medium Power, Breakbarrel, Gas Piston

Good for Pest Control
Nice Looking Ambidextrous Stocks

The Yukon is a full-featured breakbarrel air rifle featuring a sleek wood stock coupled with Umarex's ReAxis Gas Piston and five-chamber SilencAir noise dampening system.

Not only does the Yukon's stock capture the eye but it comes equipped with a 3-9x32 scope, rings, and a mounting rail that is built to hold.  Manufacturer advertising claims a high velocity of 1250 with lead-free alloy pellets and 1050 fps with a standard lead pellet. Straight Shooters Our Take testing shows a bit less than that although the velocities are quite respectable.

Features such as a 4.75 pound trigger that is adjustable for travel and an automatic safety help make the Yukon a user friendly rifle for all shooters.   The hand finished hardwood stock has a textured grip and forearm for a sure hold with no slipping.  The Ruger Yukon is a single shot, medium powered (13-17 fpe), gas piston breakbarrel air rifle that includes fiber optic sights and a 3-9-32 non-AO scope.

We found the Yukon to make a very reasonably priced backyard plinker and pest control air gun.

Weihrauch HW50S .22 Beech

Light Power, Breakbarrel, Spring Rifle

Light Weight and Easy to Handle
Super Accurate

The Weihrauch HW50S air rifle is the perfect rifle for shooters wanting a bit more power than an R7 but not as much as an R9. The beauty of the light powered guns such as the R7 and the HW50S is that they are light in weight, easy to cock and quiet to shoot. A shooter can take these guns out of their case and shoot all day long without a lot of strain from cocking and carrying the rifle. And for even better results, simply add your scope of choice and a set of mounts. The HW50S features a solid beech stock but without a lot of frills to run up the price. There is a right-handed cheek piece but it is very slight and not raised much at all. So the stock may not be ambidextrous in the true sense but it isn't far from it. A left-handed shooter would have no trouble shooting this rifle at all.

The gun is very quiet and easy to shoot. It has very little recoil, low cocking effort and great accuracy with a whole bunch of pellets. All in all, this is a wonderful choice for the backyard shooter that only needs adequate power for pest control or target shooting to 35-40 yards. The HW50S will handle both tasks with ease and you will be surprised at it's super accuracy. Don't overlook this model because it's a wonderful addition to any airgun collection. You'll find yourself shooting this rifle far more than you thought you would.

Weihrauch HW80 .22 Beech

High Power, Breakbarrel, Spring Rifle

The "Do-It-All" Rifle
Hard Hitting, Flat Shooting!

The HW-80 has long been known as a "Do-It-All" rifle and is universally recognized for bringing adult airgunning to the forefront with it's power and stunning looks. It's a versatile gun with a power rating of medium (12-16 fpe) in the  .177 and .20 calibers, yet is rated as a magnum powered rifle (over 16 fpe) in .22 caliber.

From the ground up, the HW-80 was built to be an airgun that a shooter could use and cherish for a lifetime. The Weihrauch "R" Series trigger, universally recognized as one of the finest available on a sporting gun, has a crisp, delightful feel that is fully adjustable.

The HW-80 was one of the first airguns to break the mystical 1000 fps mark. Other manufacturers may claim that their products meet or exceed that mark, but a chronograph often shows otherwise! The HW-80 is conservatively rated at 950 fps in .177 caliber but to truly harness the power we recommend the .20 or .22 caliber. The larger caliber gives a shooter better energy, greater mass and frontal area than the .177 caliber. The large swept air volume of the R1 makes it particularly well suited to the heavier calibers. The rifle is available in .177, .20, .and 22 calibers.

Weihrauch HW90 .22 Beech

High Power, Breakbarrel, Spring Rifle

Gas Ram Technology
Powerful Hunting Rifle

The Beeman HW90 uses a "gas spring" for its powerplant. What is a "gas spring" you ask? Imagine an air-filled shock absorber in place of a conventional metal mainspring, and you have the insides of the HW90 in your mind.

The HW90 is cocked like any other barrel cocking airgun, but the single cocking stroke compresses a cylinder of air instead of a steel mainspring.

The beech stock features the famous long forearm for grace and functionality. The trigger is crisp and predictable as you would expect and is set at approximately 2 lbs. of pull, ideal for hunting purposes. The automatic safety is located at the front of the cast metal trigger guard and may be disengaged and then reset as needed.. All in all, a HW90 is a "must-have" air rifle for the connoisseur.

Air Arms TX200 .22 Walnut

High Power, Underlever, Spring Rifle

Solid Well Built

Straight Shooters' testing produced an average muzzle velocity of 933 feet per second in .177 caliber using Crosman Premiere 7.9 grain pellets.

High Power, Side Cocking, Spring Rifle

Solid Shooting Platform
Very Powerful

Not for the faint hearted, the Model 48 RWS Diana air rifle is impressive in both performance and appearance. Its tremendous power is generated by a robust spring piston power plant cocked by a side lever action that shoots .177 caliber pellets up to 1100 feet per second (.22 up to 900 fps, and .22 up to 851 fps). The substantial one-piece stock allows for comfortable offhand shooting and the precision rifled, fixed barrel system is loaded via the sliding breech opening. Other features of the RWS 48 include an adjustable trigger, adjustable rear sight, and automatic safety. Available in .177, .22 caliber.

The New Quattro Trigger:

1. The Quattro Trigger utilizes a 4-lever system (hence Quattro).
2. Each lever reduces the load acting on the next lever in the system.
3. By changing contact angles of each component the lever ratios are increased.
4. An original load of 250lbs is reduced to approximately 2lbs at the trigger.
5. A variable load is introduced into the system via the Trigger load screw.
6. This gives the shooter an adjustable trigger load.
7. The first and second stage adjusting screws vary the length of trigger pull and the amount of first and second stage pressure that is best suited to the shooter.
