In today's airgun market, it's not unusual to see dealers carrying Beeman pellets and H&N pellets that often look very similar. This can lead to a lot of confusion because many shooters are not aware that Beeman pellets ARE H&N pellets. The only difference is the label and in some cases, the number of pellets per tin. So we, here at Straight Shooters thought it might be helpful to display a chart that shows which Beeman pellets are the same as the H&N pellets except for the labels on the tins.
Why does this take place? Because it's fairly common today for various importers to import pellets directly from H&N. H&N (Haendler and Natermann) is a German company that makes and sells pellets all over the world. Beeman imports certain pellet types from H&N, but usually changes the name of the pellet and the tins are labeled with the Beeman brand. This practice is not uncommon at all, in the airgun market and in similar fashion, a number of airgun manufacturers buy pellets from JSB, for instance and put their own label on the tins.
Hopefully the following chart will be useful in showing how the exact same pellet can be marketed and labeled in two different ways with the only difference being the label and in some cases, the number of pellets in the tin. An example of that is that Beeman has switched to smaller tins in .177 caliber with 300 pellets per tin. H&N .177 tins still contain 500 pellets although the price is a bit more for the larger quantity as one would expect.
So....check over the chart and let your confusion disappear!!
